Kyra Minturn
Kyraminturn Sedgwick was born August 19th 1965. She is an American producer and actress. She is best known for her character as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson in the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick received two Emmy Awards in the years 2010 and 2007 for her portrayal Johnson. The series ended on August 13, 2012, following the completion of the seventh season. Sedgwick is also known for her role in the role of Madeline Wuntch, on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick received nominations for a Golden Globe award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Her film credits include Oliver Stone's Born in July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Individuals (1992) The Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2011) are as well. Sedgwick was the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald, Speech and Family Therapist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick IV, a venture capitalist. She was born in New York City. Her mother, who was Jewish, was of English and Episcopalian descent. Sedgwick has declared that she's Jewish and participates in Passover meals.
